Community Forum on Kids, Guns and Mental Health - YCPIP
The Pinellas County Urban League, in partnership with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Office of the Attorney General, invites the community to attend a Youth Crime Prevention and Intervention Program community forum focused on kids, guns and mental health.
This open conversation will give residents an opportunity to hear from a mental health expert and law enforcement, ask questions and discuss the emotional and mental health impacts of gun-related issues in schools and across the community.
The forum is designed to bring community members together for meaningful dialogue, education and connection around issues affecting young people and families.

4th Tampa Bay Chalk Festival

PCUL Parent University Pop-In and Youth Program Night brings families together each month for an evening of learning, support, and connection at the Pinellas County Urban League. Designed to serve both parents and youth, this recurring event offers practical tools, helpful resources, and program information that encourage growth, preparation, and long-term success for the whole family.
Parents will hear from PCUL CEO Nikki Gaskin-Capehart, learn about the National Urban League Virtual Financial Empowerment App, receive information on recovery assistance and voter registration, and take part in workshops created to strengthen and support families. Youth will have the opportunity to explore Project Ready, learn more about the S.T.E.P. Program, and connect with additional opportunities centered on leadership, training, and empowerment.
This month’s featured guest speaker is Leo Passley, Black pilot and aviation professional, who will share his personal journey, offer insight into careers in aviation, and encourage youth to consider the possibilities available in the field. Food will be provided.

Wellness Wednesday: Enoch Davis Center + Artz 4 Life Academy
Take a midweek break to recharge. Join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at Enoch Davis Center and Artz 4 Life Academy.
Our 2nd and 4th Wellness Wednesday classes are from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Wellness Wednesday was designed to help you prioritize your well-being with an energizing activity to help you work toward your 4,000 steps-a-day goal, a healthy cooking demonstration with a tasting session, and a quick financial empowerment session to wrap up the evening.
These events are FREE and open to all experience levels!
Children 18 and under must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

Make Money Mondays
Join us for Make Money Mondays , PCUL's monthly business development virtual learning lab series designed to help local entrepreneurs and small business owners increase revenue, expand operations, and build long-term wealth.
Focused on industry-specific strategies and practical implementation, this program supports business growth aligned with the mission of the Pinellas County Urban League Tampa Bay Anchors Urban Alliance (TBAUA).
Sessions are held on the first and third Monday of each month.
This program is graciously funded through a grant from the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg.
Intro to Green Construction
The Pinellas County Urban League, in partnership with Tampa Vocational Institute and the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc., invites participants to enroll in the Intro to Green Construction Academy, a free 93-hour workforce training program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level careers in construction and related industries.
Beginning April 6, 2026, this four-week program will provide hands-on training with industry tools, job-site procedures, construction safety practices, blueprint reading, materials handling, and employability skills. Participants who complete the program will receive a $500 stipend along with the following certifications: NCCER Core Construction Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, Forklift Certification, and CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.
This training is a strong opportunity for individuals interested in building practical skills and taking the first step toward a sustainable career in construction.

Disability Justice & Health Equity Webinar
The Health Equity Webinar Series will present Disability Justice and Health Equity on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. EDT. This virtual session will explore how disability is shaped by social systems and how barriers in healthcare, education, economic opportunity, and the built environment continue to affect access and outcomes for many communities. The webinar will also examine the connection between disability justice, health equity, and racial justice, while highlighting the importance of inclusion and equitable access. Speakers include Lydia Isaac, PhD, MSc, Sami Schalk, PhD, MFA, and Patrick Cokley.
Shredding Event and Prescription Medicine Drop-Off
The Safety Harbor Shred Event and Prescription Medicine Drop Off will take place Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Safety Harbor Public Works Complex, 1200 Railroad Avenue in Safety Harbor. Held in partnership with the City of Safety Harbor and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, this event gives residents the opportunity to securely shred up to five boxes of paper documents and safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Attendees are asked to follow posted signage upon arrival and remain in their vehicles during drop off.
Community Healing Conversation: Growing Community, Library Series Session 1
Join the St. Petersburg Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Center for a Community Healing Conversation on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the President Barack Obama Main Library. This evening will create space for honest dialogue, reflection, and connection as community members come together to share personal experiences and explore our shared humanity. Centered on the theme “Growing Community,” the conversation will focus on changing neighborhoods, historic displacement, and overall well-being. Light refreshments will be provided, and trained facilitators will help guide a safe and thoughtful discussion.
