Who We Are
The Pinellas County Urban League has been serving the community for over 43 years. The agency's mission is to increase social inclusion, educational competitiveness, and economic prosperity in the African-American population of Pinellas County and the following counties: Pasco, Hernando, Lake, Seminole, Marion County, Sumter County. and strengthen relationships with our partners.
We accomplish this by providing programs that enhance personal growth skills, job readiness training, financial literacy education, entrepreneurship development opportunities, civic engagement initiatives, and a variety of other services that meet the needs of hardworking families
We assist our job-seeking clients to obtain their goals by providing assessment and goal setting, career counseling, employability skills training, financial fitness training, resumes, technical training, certifications, career fairs, job search, resources, and wrap-around services.
One of the key objectives of the Pinellas County Urban League has been to improve health outcomes for Black people and other people of color in Pinellas County through the elimination of longstanding health inequities.
Personal Development is vital to the overall success of youth and families served by the Youth & Family Services Department. In order to assist our clients in achieving success, we offer Educational Achievement, Leadership Skills, Social & Character Building, and Financial Literacy programs and services.
Provide safe, affordable, clean, and efficient housing. Build strong collaborations with partner agencies that provide homeowner assistance and other housing services. We also offer weatherization services to promote energy efficiency.
