Summer Training in Youth Leadership & Employment (STYLE)
At this time, we are not accepting applications for the STYLE Program, as we are awaiting further direction from the City of St. Petersburg.
However, we are currently enrolling for the Urban Youth Empowerment Program, a work-readiness initiative for teens ages 14–19. This program includes classroom training, college tours, and opportunities for internships or job shadowing. Students who complete the program will also receive a stipend. The next cohort begins on June 17th.

ABOUT THE STYLE PROGRAM
STYLE is a youth program generously funded by the City of St. Petersburg. It is specifically designed to provide instruction and hands-on training in workplace-related skill sets. By participating in this program, young individuals aged 14-16 residing in the City of St. Petersburg have the opportunity to develop crucial knowledge and abilities for their future success.
The STYLE program spans over eight weeks and offers comprehensive training in various areas, including:
Entrepreneurship: Learn the ins and outs of starting and managing a business, fostering innovation and creativity.
Finances: Gain valuable insights into financial literacy, budgeting, and the essentials of money management.
Team Building: Enhance your collaborative skills, understand the importance of teamwork, and develop effective communication abilities.
Problem-solving: Acquire valuable problem-solving techniques to tackle challenges and find innovative solutions.
Critical Thinking: Sharpen your critical thinking skills, enabling you to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
Effective Business Communications: Master the art of professional communication, including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication.
Professional Appearance: Discover the significance of presenting oneself professionally, including appropriate attire and grooming.
Professional Demeanor: Learn the etiquette and behaviors expected in a professional setting, cultivating a strong work ethic.
STYLE is a transformative program empowering youth with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern workforce. By participating in this program, you will acquire valuable knowledge and practical experience that will set you on a path to success.
Cover the basics of investing and explain how even small amounts of money can grow over time. Introduce low-risk investment options and platforms suited for low-income individuals to encourage them to start investing for their future.
