Advancing Equal Opportunity for All
In January 2025, the National Urban League launched the Demand Diversity Roundtable in response to an unprecedented wave of federal actions targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion across government, the workforce, and public life.
One year later, as these attacks have intensified, the response has broadened, bringing together an expanded table of civil and human rights organizations, civic engagement leaders, faith voices, business and economic institutions, media, academic leaders, and democracy partners.
This moment demands action. Join us virtually on Thursday, January 22, 2026, as the National Urban League reconvenes the Demand Diversity Roundtable, one year after its launch, to assess the landscape, elevate lessons learned, and sharpen collective accountability.
The convening will feature new, groundbreaking polling that reveals where the American public actually stands on equal opportunity, findings that challenge prevailing political narratives and carry significant implications for leaders across sectors. Together, participants will reflect on the past year, share critical insights, and chart the next phase of coordinated advocacy to defend equity, equal opportunity, and a multiracial democracy.
